The key performance indicators we ignore

Not because they’re unimportant. But because they’re hard. No dashboard. No owner. No easy way to track them. Yet, they quietly determine whether your business hums or stalls.
Here are five I always look for and rarely see measured:
1. Strategic Clarity
Do your top 50 leaders explain the strategy the same way?
If not, you don’t have alignment, you have chaos with a PowerPoint.
2. Psychological Safety
Can people challenge ideas without fear?
If not, you’re flying blind. Innovation dies. Problems hide.
3. Time to Insight
How quickly do you turn noise into signal and signal into action?
Speed of learning beats size of data.
4. Cross-Functional Friction
How much energy is lost navigating silos?
If you're spending more time aligning than executing, you have a coordination tax.
5. Change Readiness
Do you build muscle for change, or just push projects?
True agility isn’t in the plan; it’s in the culture.
Any others you can think of?
